Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for oncologists, urologists, and other medical professionals who assess, treat, or counsel cancer patients.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss and assess appropriate use of bone-targeted agents to treat bone metastasis and its complications in cancer patients.
  • Discuss and assess current data on potential role of bone- targeted agents in preventing bone metastasis.
  • Discuss and assess appropriate use of bone-targeted agents to prevent bone loss associated with cancer treatment.
  • Integrate the above assessments into practice of cancer patient counseling, assessment and management.

Educational Need
Medical professionals who assess, treat and/or counsel cancer patients need to be able to assess and discuss new clinical data and recommendations related to the use of bone-targeted therapies to treat and prevent bone metastasis and prevent bone loss related to cancer treatment, and integrate this information into their own practice.
