Novel Agents in the Treatment of Lung Cancer: Advances in EGFR-targeted Agents

Third Cambridge Conference - September 2005

This program was based on a conference of multidisciplinary leaders in lung cancer research and clinical care. The program developed content for a peer reviewed educational journal publication for oncologists and other health care professionals who wish to learn more about recent advances in treating lung cancer.

This program was directed by Thomas J. Lynch, Jr., MD, Chief, Division of Hematology and Oncology, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.

The conference proceedings were published as a peer-reviewed CME supplement to Clinical Cancer Research Vol 12. No 14. July 15 2006.

The CME activity is no longer valid.

Educational Objectives
1) To review new information on lung cancer biology and EGFR biology as they pertain to disease management. 2) Discuss clinical data on EGFR-targeted agents and plans for advancing their development over the next 2-3 years. 3) Assess the safety and efficacy of EGFR-targeted agents in the treatment of lung cancer.
