Consensus Perspectives on Prophylactic Therapy for Hemophilia

This multidisciplinary international consensus conference was directed by Dr. Erik Berntorp, University of Malmo, Sweden.
The educational objectives for this program were to: describe the benefits and indications for prophylactic treatment; discuss the duration, dosing and timing of prophylactic treatment; and assess the cost-economic issues of prophylactic treatment. The program was supported by educational grants from industry. Program management and CME sponsorship were provided by InforMEDical.
The proceedings were published as a peer-reviewed CME supplement to the journal Haemophilia Vol 9, May 2003.
