Innovations and Challenges in Renal Cancer

Second Cambridge Conference - April 2006

This CME program was directed by Dr. Michael Atkins, Leader, Renal Cancer Program, Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Deputy Chief, Division of Hematology-Oncology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

The educational objectives are to review important aspects of renal cancer genetics and biology as they relate to prognosis and therapy; assess recent advances in staging/ prognostic classification of renal cancer, especially as they relate to treatment selection; assess the roles of primary adjuvant, immuno, anti-angiogenic and molecularly-targeted agents in the current treatment of renal cancer; and assess recent advances in monitoring targeted and antiangiogenic therapies and their potential role in guiding future clinical research and therapy. The program was supported by educational grants from industry. Program management and CME sponsorship were provided by InforMEDical.
