New Approaches to Lung Cancer: Treating Elderly Patients

This CME monograph was developed for oncologists and thoracic surgeons by expert oncologists in the field of lung cancer treatment, including Thomas J. Lynch, MD Massachusetts General Hospital, Lecia V. Sequist, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Rogerio C. Lilenbaum, MD, FACP, Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center, Panos Fidias, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Corey J. Langer, MD, FACP, Fox Chase Cancer Center. It was supported by educational grants from industry. The educational objectives for this enduring CME activity were to enable participants to discuss approaches to risk stratification for elderly patients; assess opportunities for combination therapy in elderly patients; assess the use of weekly single-agent chemotherapy in elderly patients and assess the use of novel agent therapies in elderly patients.
